Our ethos

Enriching lives through positive connections between human and dog

Hi there, I’m Aggie and this is my furry companion Otis! Scroll down to read our story.

My passion for animals started at a very young age but particularly for dogs as I grew up with a family Chow Chow and lots of Norfolk Terriers. I was also constantly surrounded by a nurturing and loving environment for dogs, always attending Crufts and being encouraged to learn more, particularly by my mum and grandad who absolutely adored them.

Fast forward to my late 20s and I was lucky enough to welcome a gorgeous little pup of my own, a miniature cockapoo called Otis. Ever since, I have been on an amazing journey that has opened up my eyes to the world of dog training as well as making me realise what my passion is, helping out people and their four legged companions!

As a dog owner, I have always tried to seek the best type of training that suited the needs of our family. I have dedicated my time to researching and learning different training techniques to ensure I can provide the best training tools possible that achieves results. Ultimately, I believe that good communication, understanding and trust are absolutely vital to create an unbreakable bond between human and dog.

I founded Pawsome Dog Academy to help dogs and their owners use force-free positive training methods and rewards to reach their goals. All our training only uses science backed techniques taught by the Institute of Modern Dog Trainers (IMDT) that are proven to be effective as well as having the dog’s welfare at heart. I am proud to say I am fully insured, a member of the IMDT as well as a Level III qualified trainer in Principles of Dog Training and Behaviour through the Open College Network, and a qualified canine first aider.

I am dedicated to providing a fun, supportive and positive learning environment tailored to you and your dog. I’d love to hear about your story and how I can help you, so if you’re interested in a chat get in touch today!

I hope to speak to you soon,

Aggie x
